27 Feb Ed Sheeran Earns Honor, Named Global Recording Artist Of Year

Ed Sheeran is making more room on his mantle for yet another major award he is set to receive. London-based International Federation of the Phonographic Industry – or IFPI – has just named the “Shape of You” singer its 2017 recording artist of the year. The organization said yesterday Sheeran is the first award winner to have both the best selling album, “Divide,” and single, “Shape of You,” of the year. Previous recipients of the relatively new award include One Direction, Taylor Swift, Adele and Drake.
